Apples to Apples: Laughter Guaranteed!
Apples to Apples is the well-known, award-winning, and very much loved game of crazy combinations that is guaranteed to have your family laughing. The wonderful thing about Apples to Apples, besides the laughter, is that you can play this game immediately. It’s that easy.
Each player is dealt a hand of red apple cards. Each red card has a noun written on it. Green apple cards have adjectives written on them. Players take turns being the judge. For each round, the judge turns over one green apple (adjective) card and each player must select their best red card, either because it combines well with the green card well or because it will appeal to that round’s judge. Players are encouraged to have a conversation and explain their choices. Hilarity usually ensues until the judge selects a winner.
I first discovered Apples to Apples years ago, before kids, and we used to play it [at least] every Thanksgiving. It is the perfect game for a large gathering and works well when you have a room with a wide age gap.

Apples to Apples now comes in a Jr. version, in addition to several other variations. My children love to play Apples to Apples, Jr. At 7, 5, and 4, they do require some modifications but not enough to ruin play!

HeadBandz is a hilarious game where players stick images to their “headbandz” for everyone else to see. Players take turns asking yes or no questions to figure out who they are. Laughter is a guarantee!
PicWits! is like a visual Apples to Apples. Instead of matching nouns and adjectives, you match photographs with captions and both are hysterical.
