Learning about Landforms with Play Dough
We’ve been having a blast exploring the world of map skills and geography. Recently, we made some map vocabulary flash cards. We were using them one afternoon when Leo suggested that we make our own landforms using some of our homemade play dough. I thought it was an excellent hands-on learning activity for young hands, and we quickly got to work.

My children had a blast combining their vocabulary flash cards with their homemade play dough. Their favorite landform, by far, was the volcano, but they also made many others.
