Have you heard of The Kindness Elves? Our family fell head-over-heels with them last year, but they have been around since 2013.

These little elves are an international sensation! They began as an alternative to Elf on the Shelf. Rather than focusing on negative behaviors, The Kindness Elves inspire kind acts.

Best of all? They are not relegated to the holidays but can be a part of your family all year long!

The scoop on The Kindness Elves

The Kindness Elves are the brainchild of Anna, a former primary school teacher, mom to four, and owner of the popular website The Imagination Tree.

Anna started the tradition years ago with her children as an alternative to the naughty elf tradition. These little elves inspire kindness in children and spread a little magic, too!

How we use The Kindness Elves

In our home, we use The Kindness Elves in conjunction with some of our most favorite books for spreading joy and kindness, including Humble and Kind and Have You Filled a Bucket Today?

Whenever I feel our family needs a kindness refresher, I pull out a stack of delicious books and these magical little elves. These sweet little elves never fail to spark kindness in my kiddos!

I love this family tradition. It is one that I am certain my children will remember for years to come!
